Theme: Moses and the Burning Bush

Concepts:

· We don’t have to be perfect to do God’s work.

· If God commands it, He’ll make it possible.

· Wherever we meet God is a holy place.

Lessons:

Manna ‘n a Movie: Watch the story of Moses and think of ways we can do God’s work
Creation Station: Make a burning bush with scissors and paint
Promise Players and Praising Puppets: Act out the burning bush story and use the puppets to discover they can do hard tasks that they thought they couldn’t

Something New! spot time! Children will choose different “spots” to go to after the lesson is finished. They are: Library, Reading Rowboat, Puzzle mania, Paper Express, Jubilee, The Box Each of the underlined spots will connect with the lesson.

Time for Family

Read: Exodus 3:1-4:17

Reflect: What does it mean to be called by God? What does “holy” mean? What can you do to be more open to God’s call?

Pray: Dear Lord, Thank you for your gift of Moses and the way his story shows that we don’t have to be perfect to do Your work. Thank you also that You promise to be with us as we do Your work. Please enable us to work for You this week.
